Maria Comparetto worked on this fantastic Collections story with the photographer Tomas Falmer (who said to add that she was “fabulous as always) and the stylist Frank Strachan in Italy to create these beautiful shots for Attitude Magazine (published August 2010).
The team stayed at the beautiful Abadetta hotel in San Benedetto Del Tronto in Italy to get the perfect backdrop for this story and the aim was to ‘combine high fashion with a gritty yet modern twist’.
As you can see, Maria had great fun with the make-up and said that the models, (Matteo & Simone from D’management Group) were great, luckily very patient and very willing to experiment. Apparently the techniques used were at times uncomfortable but they were “real troopers” said Maria. Simone sat through 2 hours during his “gangland tattoo”. Maria used a number of different methods and designed it as she went along.
